These are direct reflections off the water. The "angle of attack" dictates the abstract nature of the image. Since we see the world right side up, I inverted most of the images, further enhancing the effect.
These images were created with intentional camera movements (ICM). Variations in camera movements create their own unique patterns. A whole new realm of creativity was discovered!
Intrigued by the notion of moving the camera while the subject was also in motion, I utilized ICM in the creeks of the Lehigh Valley. Nothing like creating art while wading in a creek!
Along the shores of the Outer Banks in North Carolina, I experimentally employed ICM in pursuit of tranquil and dreamy seascapes.
Using Intentional Camera Movements (ICM), candles and tin foil are transformed into radiant bursts of light.
Taken mostly in the early morning or late evening hours, you could probably find me at the very top of a parking garage in and around the Lehigh Valley with my Samsung S21 Ultra smart phone pointed at the sky.
